SKII:  How long have you been doing portraits with chopsticks? 

Makoto:   I’ve been drawing the motorcycles professionally with chopsticks  for 25 years now.   

SKII:  Where did you start doing this? 

Makoto:   I started doing this as a teenager in school,  in Japan.    I moved to New York City and that’s when I started to draw with chopsticks professional.  The rest is history.

SKII:  How much are your painting?

 

Makoto:  4 feet by 6 feet is $2,500.00.  The little one’s are one hundred to three hundred dollars.  Depending on the size and the way the motorcycle is painted, it could be more.  I painted David Beckum – Soccer player and this painting is $1,500.00.
