SKII:  Today I’m interviewing HighLifeCyf.  He’s a rapper, producer and a writer.

SkII:  tell me a little about yourself?

HLC:  I rap and I write.  I work with Team USA with BFS.  I was on Hip-Hop Media television. I was also on a lot of social sites.  Shout out to my cousin BFS.  He was interviewed by Star Force Hip-Hop.com.

SK I I:  how did you get the name HLC?

HLC:  HLC is a name I thought of.  I want to live the High Life.  I want to become famous and I want to rise to the top.  There’s No Limits SKII Magazine.

SKII:  where were you born and raised?

H LC:  I was born and raised in the Bronx, New York City. I’m basically trying to take over from where PUN left off. Those are big shoes to fill. I’m sure it can be done.  And I’m doing it my own way and style. I want to bring the Bronx back to life. That’s how I feel.  Besides, French Montana, Fat Joe and everyone else, who grew up in the Bronx have been doing a wonderful job. There’s room for everyone to be a part of that life where Pun had left off. There’s food for everyone to eat.

SKII:  So, you talk about Big PUN a lot.  Is Big PUN your idol?

HLC:  Yeah.  Big PUN and Fabulous is the reasons why I’m doing this.

SKII:  do you have an agent?

H LC:  right now, I’m looking for an agent. Angie Martinez  was my manager. Shout out to Kay Rush. Right now we’re looking for a new management. My single is coming out soon and I need someone to help me market my song. I have another new song called so high. I’ve been putting a lot of my songs out there in different clubs. I want my music to be known by everyone. I’ve been getting a lot of radio play in regards to my new song So High. I’m going to go into every strip club starting next month to get my song played in the club. I’m doing it.

SKII: Are your parents still alive?

H LC:  I grew up with my mother. I have a song called alone featuring Chub Mason from Sneaker Money. Basically this song talks about how my mom raised me by herself and it also talks about the trials and tribulations of my life growing up.  I’m not going to lie.  I was raised with a silver spoon.  As I began my teenager years, I began doing teenager things.  My mom put up with some stuff, but she pulled me through.   She’s been doing a great job at it. My mom is my world.

SKII:  what made you get into the music industry?

HLC:  I began watching 106 and Park.  I saw Fabulous rapping on 106 and Park, and that’s what made me want to rap.  That’s how I started. I remember watching the battle of rappers and I thought to myself, that was cool. I was influenced by them. I saw the prizes they won and I wanted to do that too.  I never appeared on 106 and Park but, I started  doing gigs at different clubs and people loved it.

SKII:  What is Team work makes the Dream work?

HLC:  What a lot of people don’t understand is that people need people to help make their dreams come true.  There is no I in team.  We need people to help make our business a success. So that is why I  always  say;  Teamwork makes the Dream work because it’s true.

SKII:  What motivates you?

HLC:  Shout out to Nina in Florida. She’s my number one supporter. She was going through some stuff.  She listened to my songs and they got her through a couple of situations. That’s what I’m about.  Motivating people.  Helping people out and hoping that when people listen to my songs, they would get something out of it.  I am a man with a lot of hats.  I don’t just rap.  I am a Hip-Hop and R&B songwriter and ghostwriting. I do it all.  This is what motivates me and drives me and keep me going.  I don’t want to fall off and not have people listening to my songs. I just want to continue to climb that ladder to the top. Shout out to you SKII magazine,  because I feel like you, there’s no limit to reaching the top. We have to take one step at a time to reach the top.  And that’s where I’m heading. All the way to the top.  Shout out to PIFF Unit Record. They are  doing big thing.  BFS is another group doing big things.

SKII:  what next for you High Life CYF?

HLC:  Right now, I’m working on a new project called; Everything happens for a reason.  It’s a mix tape coming out this year by the summer time or fall. Right now, I’m getting all of my singles ready for that. My singles All Alone; Roll A Blunt and Do It is featuring BFS.  It’s out right now.  So go buy it.  Go download it. Those are the tracks I’m pitching right now. I have so much stuff going on right now. I’m going to be on WXL Magazine. SKII Magazine.  I plan on doing an interview with DJ Envy and other radio appearances. There’s so much more going on with me.  And there’s a lot more to come. That’s what next with me SKII Magazine.  That’s what’s next.
