He maintains a GPA of 3.0 or more in school while pursuing his music career.   Who is this guy?  He’s been taking the world by a storm.    His name is FISGEEZ……

Where did the name FIS GEEZ come from?

Fis Geez:  Well, my first name is Nafis.  In elementary school, 7th grade, I had a good friend named   Kal Geez.  I liked Kals last name so much, I decided to use it and take off the NA from my first name.  I added them together and came up with FIS GEEZ.   Kal and I Are Still Friends Today.

You’re a rapper, songwriter and you sing.  I just found out you also act.  What have you acted in?

Fis Geez:  I’ve done a play called – “The Road Home” written by Freddy Walker.  This play was about a Juvenile who strayed away from church. He wound up hanging with the wrong crowd and got into a lot of trouble – like gangs and violence.    He eventually found his way back home. He realized he needed GOD more.   I’ve done this play about 3 times.   It’s a Christian play.  But before then, I did a lot of Black history plays in my church when I was younger.  My church is called….  Yesha Ministries Worship Center, which is located at 23rd and Snyder Street in Philadelphia.

Do you have any other family members involved in the music industry?

Fis Geez:  Yes I do.  I have cousins, God brothers who are in the music industry.  One of my God brothers in particular, Darrell Robinson who plays the drums for Pharrell, Jay Z, J Cole, Kanye West and Lil  Wayne.  He plays for other artists also but I don’t remember their names.  He is the one who started me in this business in 2012.  My God brother (Darrell Robinson) is also a producer.   I can still remember my first gig in 2012.  I was just 15 years old then.  I did a gig at Mil Creek Tavern at 42nd and Chestnut Street in Philadelphia.  I will never forget it.   It was a Christmas show.  A TOYS FOR TOTS show for kids.  Philadelphia’s own PHILLY HOT Radio “ JUICEE ROZAY” hosted the show.  I was the headliner that night. That’s where I dropped my first  mixtape.  I did 4 songs for the show. The songs I did was – CLIQUE, TROY,  LET IT GO and THAT’S MY GIRL..   It was a good show.  I really appreciated them.  They  allowed  me to do a show with 4 songs.   After that show, the world opened up for me. I performed in NYC at the Gramercy Theatre.  I’ve also performed in Boston, North Carolina State and also at Howard University in D.C., at Howard University in Washington D.C. I performed 6 times.  Shout-out to my management team TRU 7 Entertainment. Shout-out to my Manager Jerome JD ROSS.

Where were you born and raised?

Fis Geez:  I was born and raised in South Philadelphia and West Philadelphia on 32nd street, 56th street and 63rd Street in South and West Philadelphia. I’ve attended Wakisha Middle school and Alcorn Elementary school when I was younger.   Right now, I’m attending  Audenreid Charter High school,  where I maintain a 3.0 or more GPA.

When did you realize you wanted to sing and rap?

Fis Geez:  I was doing this since I was young but, I became serious about it when I turned 15.  I remember when DRAKE “The Motto” came out.  That was when I decided,  I really wanted to do this.  I remember being in the car with my God brother Darrell.  He was producing music at that time.  We were on our way to the studio.  The other artist was running late so Darrell asked me to rap to some beats he was producing.  I did and he liked it.  We fell apart since then. I thank GOD for doing this for me.  I know it was him.  That’s why I always put him first before anything.  I always put GOD first.

What motivates you to rap and sing?

Fis Geez:  I do this because I want to make my momma happy.  I want to become famous to buy my momma a house.  I want to get my nephews and nieces out of the Hood.  I want to make sure no one is left behind.  I want everyone to move into a big house and just live in a safe environment.  I just want to get them out of the hood.

You have a huge following on Instagram and 46,000 followers on Twitter.  You’ve been a guest on radio stations and soon you will be appearing on television.  What are your aspirations in life?

Fis Geez:  I just want to touch the music industry and make it to where my name becomes a household name like Jay Z, Kayne West, Pharrell, etc.  I want people to know me and to know what I’m about.  I want to produce Good Music.  I want people to listen to my music and want to buy my songs.  I know I’m good.  I want to make a lot of money to make things easier on my family.  I want to give back to my momma and to my family.  GOD blessed me with this gift and I am going to use it.  Thank you GOD

Listen…..  (Fis Geez began rapping a verse from one of his songs😉 “ I like to thank you G.O.D for all you’ve done – For a young brother like me    Can I Want More, you took me off the streets –  And put me in a place to be.  Hey Look at me now, I’m on T.V.  –  I couldn’t have made it without  you,    I swear I can’t The Things You Did For Me   –   Is So Heroic Man I Know  This is A Little Piece Of  –  Part Of Your Plan                   And Everytime I Turn Around  –  You Do It Again   I Pray About 3 , 4 Times A Day  –  And Everytime I Do It,   IIt Get Better Everyway…..”

Tell me Fis Geez, What are your inspirations?

Fis Geez:  My inspiration 1st and foremost is GOD.  Yes.  It’s GOD.  Then it’s my momma and my nieces and nephews.  I told you earlier, I want to put my momma, nieces and nephews in a big house, somewhere safe where I won’t have to worry about them.  I won’t have to worry about the random gunshots or worry about people breaking into the house.  That’s why I always put GOD first.  He was instilled into me.  I remember a quote from my grandfather who was a Veteran from 1955 to 1957.  He is still alive and he still lives in Philly.  By the way, his birthday is coming up soon.  He will be 79 years old Febraury 28th.  “Happy Birthday Grand-dad.”  My grandfather said….   No matter what….  Always put GOD first.  I grew up remembering that.  I still go to church but not as often.  If I am in church or even if I’m  not, I will always and forever put GOD first.  He will always be with me.  Look how GOD is moving me.

Jerome JD Ross, my manager  introduced me to the music industry.  It has always been a part of me but with GOD’s help, he  opened the doors for me to enhance my music career.  I have to thank David Sanders for introducing me to Jerome. My Manager Jerome JD ROSS – of Tru 7 Enertainment,   took me to the next level.  People are asking me to come out to do showcases for them in different places other than Philadelphia. Look at me right now.   I came out to New York for this interview with you.  I mean, it’s been a real process but I’ve progressed in it.  It’s been great and I know there is still a whole lot more to come.  I do a show and put it on a video.   I would get 1,000 views right away.  I’ve been on television last year.  I’ve performed for the “Hip Hop Awards” in 2013.  I’ve been on “Hot 97” in New York and presented my song “TONIGHT”  to them.  I’m signing contracts with  “Tunecore” stores, “ I-Tunes”, “Amazon”, “Pandora”,  “I-Heart Radio”,  “Spotify X-Box Music” etc.  Sometimes I can’t believe this is happening to me.  But it is.

I will be recording in the studio soon.  I always record in a studio with my friend Tommy Mosca which is located in German town Philadelphia.  He is really good at what he does.  I will be coming out with a new song in April of 2015.  You will hear about it soon.  Everything positive is happening for me and it’s due to GOD and my momma.   My momma is also doing big things.  My momma is a director, a writer of stage plays.  She writes poetry and she was a rapper from the 1980’s.  My momma is well connected in Philadelphia.  I never knew how connected she was until recently.  Whenever I mess up on any type of social media by saying the wrong thing, my momma would tell me to take it down before my manager would because she would see it first.  She’s my biggest critic.   She plays a big role in my life.  She’s my everything, She gave me life.  She truly love and care about me.    Then my sister, Kilynn, she is the CEO of her own daycare company called; Mothers of Mothers, which is located  in German Town  Philadelphia.  My sister started her company because it was one of her dreams. I know GOD will keep me under his wings and protect me.  He carried me this far and I am going even further.  GOD will help me get all of my family out of the beast and into serenity.  Put GOD first and let’s see how far you can go in life.

He’s young, humble and hitting the world by a storm.  He wants his name to be a household name like Jay Z and others…   He’s a new entrepreneur who’s been ready for his turn to shine.   And now it’s here.   Who is he?  His name is FISGEEZ, a name to remember.
